Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

Young people have the power to change the world!

The Alder Tree Primary Academy Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme is a peer led approach to tackling bullying behaviours in school.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Diana Award to ensure that Alder Tree Primary Academy is a community where our children feel safe and thrive. Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors have received training to provide support when needed, to challenge negative behaviours and lead anti-bullying campaigns throughout the Academy. We are excited to begin this journey and share with you the outstanding work our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors produce throughout the academic year.

Who are the Alder Tree Primary Academy Anti-Bullying Ambassadors?

Ittanola  - Year 5

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I want to stop bullying at all cost! Bullying is not a thing we ever want to happen in our school as it makes people feel bad about themselves all the time. If I can be part of a team to help stop bullying, I can be part of a team to make our school a happy and safe place. I will always help others and remind them if they are being bullied to either tell a trusted adult, help them to tell the bully/unkind behaviour to stop and try to explain how bullying/unkind behaviour can affect a victims emotional and mental health.”

Noah – Year 5

“I wanted to be an antibullying ambassador because I want to stop bullying and want everyone to treated fairly. Nobody should be treated differently because of who they are. Everybody is different and that’s OK – it‘s what makes us who we are. I want to encourage people to stop calling people names or laughing at others based on how they look or act.”

Aaron – Year5

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I really like helping people; seeing other people happy makes me happy. I am kind and caring and know how much it means to feel like you belong somewhere. I want everyone in our school to feel like they belong here at Alder Tree."

Mya – Year 5

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I want to help stop bullying so everyone is in a friendly community, to make sure our school is a very welcoming, kind and caring place to be, so everyone feels safe and that they belong in our school.”

Finley – Year 5

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador to stop bullying and help to stop people getting hurt to make sure our school is a safe place where bullying doesn’t belong as we all deserve to be happy at school.”

Rosie – Year 5

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I want to help and make a difference to children in our school. I want children to know they have someone to talk to and to help keep children safe because I hate seeing people getting hurt. I want bullying to stop because I hate seeing other people being unkind or bully others as nobody deserves to go through that. At playtimes and lunchtimes I always look out for anyone who may be looking sad and see if they are OK, if they want to play or if I can help them with anything. I am a kind and caring person who wants to see everyone in our school happy, safe and know they belong here.”

Kayden – Year 5

“I want to be an anti-bullying ambassador to help to tackle any issues around bullying children might be dealing with. It makes me feel really good if I know I can make a difference to children in school so they can be in a happy and safe place”

Jacob – Year 5

“I want to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I want to help people who are struggling with friendships or feeling sad and lonely and want to help them feel like they are included and belong at our  school”

Alexandra- Year 5

“I want to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I think I am nice to people and I know how to play any game that thay want to play with me. I am funny and if thay are sad or feeling annoyed, I know I can support them to tell a trusted adult."

Isla-Rose Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I like to help people. I feel like helping people can make me feel a bit more confident. I believe bullying and unkind behaviour needs to be stopped and by having more confidence it means I can help and support people by saying stop to unkind behaviour.”

Tianah- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I like helping people and making sure everyone is  OK and not getting hurt physically or emotionally by unkind or bullying behaviours. I like to know other people are OK and want to be able to help others if they are upset and support them to get the help they need.”

Usman- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I like helping people who are shy or worried to ask someone for help. I want to be able to support people who are upset or hurt and make a different to them, to make sure they are happy and feel safe in our school.”

Sam- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I want to help children and encourage them to be happy, confident and feel safe in school. To know I am part of the anti-bullying ambassadors makes me feel good to know I have learnt how to stand up, from training we have done, to unkind and bullying happening and stop children being upset by others.”

Hassena- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I don’t like to be a by-stander. I absolutely love helping people and giving advice if anyone is experiencing unkind or bullying behaviours. From the training we have had we have been taught how to be an upstander in a supportive way to help others. I always want to help people and will offer to play with people if they are feeling lonely. It’s an amazing feeling to support someone and see people seeing what they have done wrong and saying sorry from things I have done to try and help others.”

Kyla- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I like to help people, for example if they want someone to play with or they need some advice. I don’t like to see people being unkind to others and by being an anti-bullying ambassador I can be part of a team to ensure bullying is stopped in our school.”

Precious- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I like to help people if they have any problems. I don’t like to see people being left out or not included so I will always try and encourage them to play with me so they aren’t lonely. I hate seeing unkind behaviour to other people and will always try and support people who are having  any problems to get support from a trusted adult. It’s an amazing feeling when we have other children coming to us for help and it makes us realise we are making a difference.”

Olivia- Year 6

“I wanted to be an anti-bullying ambassador because I love helping to decrease the chances of bullying happening at our school. I enjoy helping other people with their problems and knowing they feel cared about and listened to. To me, if people feel important and that they are special and matter to others is a huge thing to help everyone in our school know that they belong here.”
