Uniform

At Alder Tree Primary Academy we aim to provide an education which enables each child to develop a sense of belonging in the world by encouraging them to believe in themselves and become more than they thought was possible.


The school has high standards and expectations, and this is reflected in the pride we take in our school uniform and the feeling of belonging it creates. We also believe that school uniform prevents the inevitable loss of self-esteem caused to individual children should a family not be able or willing to provide the newest, most expensive clothing and equipment. At Alder Tree Primary Academy we have ensured that our uniform is hard-wearing and good value for money.


The same uniform is worn throughout the academic year.

• Purple jumper or cardigan

• White branded polo shirt

• Plain grey trousers or skirt

• All black shoes


PE Kit:

• Plain white t-shirt

• Black jogging pants / shorts

• Appropriate footwear for sport


Uniform Recycling Scheme 


Alder Tree Primary Academy operates a uniform recycling scheme. Pupils who have outgrown their uniform, or children leaving the school are encouraged to donate their uniform to help support families who may be struggling financially. Pupils can donate their uniform by placing it in the Uniform Recycling Drop Off at the Main Reception. 



Academy Uniform Suppliers 


Branded school uniform items are available to order from Whittakers School Wear via the academy. Please visit the School Office to place your order and make a payment; you will then be notified when your order is ready for collection. This may be collected straight away if the School Office has the items you wish to purchase in stock from Whittakers.

Orders will be delivered free to the academy.


The prices and sizing guidelines are available on the Whittakers website. 


Non-generic items can be purchased at other suppliers, shops and supermarkets.
